Energize NY was lucky to host four high school interns for their Senior Experience Projects. The interns focused on a variety of energy efficiency themed projects under the direction of Lauren Brois, Energize NY Residential Director, Westchester and our fabulous volunteers, Cathy Pepe and John Flynn. Together the interns helped over 100 homeowners with the energy upgrade process.
Sammi Greenburg, a senior at North Salem High School collaborated with North Salem Town Supervisor Warren Lucas to prepare a series of communications about home energy efficiency that the Town will send to residents.
Josh Holder from Croton Harmon High School, developed, filmed, and edited a new video series explaining the Energize NY home energy upgrade process. He also met with the Croton Sustainability Advisory Board and presented to the Croton-on-Hudson Village Board.
Lan Zhang and Zulfi Somoro, both seniors at Horace Greely High School in Chappaqua, met with New Castle Supervisor Rob Greenstein and presented at a New Castle Town Board meeting. Lan created a series of customized homeowner communications that visually represent the five steps to becoming Energized.
